Jane has been intervening in Earthly matters, her sister and I are just two of what may be many witnesses. Pastor Gettinger, at St. Augustine Church 1371 Hamilton," Father Bob", and Jane were very close. This is how I came to know of this incredible Lady. May her name be for a perpetual blessing.

Today, during my daily morning meditation, the word "smile" keeps coming to me. When I thought of "smile," the face that keeps coming up is Jane Corbett. Jane, I thank you for the gift of love, laughter, hugs and smiles. I also thank you for the gift of your beautiful family and huge extended family, for introducing me to Haiti and the gift of giving my time, smiles, love, money and energy to those around me and those born into a less fortunate situation. Thank you for the gift of love through art and self-expression. Thank you for the gift of teaching me to love myself, all of me, for exactly who I AM, allowing me to share the God-love with others. I thank you for being one of my spirit guides. Words cannot say how much I appreciate you and your expression of life while you were here and the legacy that continues.

Heaven took our angel away when they took Jane, I miss her and think of her often, to me she is the purest example of a Christian and would only hope to be half the person she was , I know she is surely shouting in heaven " praise God" and "what a beautiful day God has given us" . Miss you , Diane

The greatest of virtues is LOVE. Jane was the epitome of love-inside and outside. She was so genuine, approachable, energetic, sincere, courageous, intelligent, faithful and so full of love for God. I know she is interceding right now for us in Heaven.
Her spirit will remain with us. My sincere sympathy to her family and friends. The memorial was so Jane.Just outstanding! I'll never forget leaving the service and hearing church bells ringing with smiley faced balloons hanging from Spring blossomed trees reminding me of how uplifting Jane's presence has and will be.I love you, Jane.

Jane was the perfect combination of both Martha and Mary. Her contagious joy and boundless energy came from her faith and deep love for Jesus. There is no one that she touched that didn't come away with the knowledge that Jane and God loved them. She was an inspiration and role model for any Christian and citizen, and I will miss her hand-made thank you cards and wonderful hugs of encouragement.

Mimi was a bright light and blessing to our block of Nottingham. I grew up with her granddaughter, Ashley. I have so many memories in her back yard playing with other children from the neighborhood. Jane has been and will always be in my heart as a strong woman, leader, and saver of lives. Although she has left this life, I know many of you will believe she looks down on us and smiles as she shares our joys and difficult times. I love you Mimi. May you find peace.

Jane was more than a neighbor to my family, she was a life coach, a loving 'unrelated' great Aunt, and an inspiration to do good and be positive in all aspects of our lives.
The majority of my memories from playing in the neighborhood with the other children include at least some time at 'Mimi's' house. Generally she would invite us in for coloring in the sun room, playing in her yard, helping her color up her walkway with chalk drawings, or assisting in her collection of goods for her many good-faith efforts, both in and out of country. We would usually get caught red handed stealing Nutter Butters from her tabletop, picking flowers straight from her gardens, or getting into some other shenanigans, which she would always just laugh off.
Jane was the person who the neighbors could always count on even when she was ill; I will never forget 'Mimi' being ill but still mustering up the strength to bring - what I believe was dinner - to my very sickly pregnant mother.
One could always tell when Mimi had been involved in a project because there were hearts, smiley faces, and confetti drawn on anything she could touch creatively. The aura of her presence lingered and was palpable in all things which she involved herself.
I believe fully that Jane's heart was the purest of anyone I have ever known and that brushed off onto everyone she met. She touched so many of us and will never be forgotten.
To Colleen, Brady, Drew, Ashley, and Maddie, as well as all other family members, know that because of Mimi's love and light I will always hold her, you, and yours in my heart, which because of Jane is as open as her door always has always been for everyone she knew.

Jane...truly a saint! I was blessed to know Jane as a model and mentor. It was a pleasure and a delight to babysit the four oldest children during my teen years. Jane was a shining example of the kind of woman I hoped to become. Years later, she still shines in my heart and soul and I have yet to come close to her gracious, loving spirit...but I will continue to try! Surely heaven is smiling brightly and joy must abound with Jane dancing in the arms of Jesus. God bless Jane's family--you were gifted to have such a presence in your lives and now in your hearts forever. Anyone who knew your mom, was changed forever!

Perhaps one of my favorite memories of Jane is when my grandson and granddaughter attended HCA. Grandparents Day would come and some of the kiddos didn't have a grandparent that was able to attend and there was Jane for them. She was a true inspiration in every meaning of the word. Please make t-shirts in her honor. Please charge enough that I could have the honor of wearing one and by the same token be giving a donation. I would be glad to help. Jane was one of my favorite people in the whole world. Every moment with Jane was a celebration of life and love! I marveled at her self-sacrificing love, poured out on the poorest of the poor in Haiti. Her heart truly overflowed with the love of the Lord in action! Her joyous service to those in India, Haiti, the inner city, and to family, friends, strangers--and me--will forever inspire me as an indelible example of how to live. Condolences to her family and legion of friends. May we comfort ourselves that Jane is basking in the words of her beloved Jesus: "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

How do I begin to express what Jane has meant to so man? Anyone who takes the time to read all these testimonials will surely get the gist of the loving spirit she embodied to all of us. For those who didn't get to experience Jane's larger than life persona, I am sorry. A love like that can't be measured but know her love was felt beyond the boundaries of my little town of Shrewsbury to the far corners of this earth. Alleluia Jane! I knew Jane from the Holy Redeemer Saturday evening "Charismatic" Mass, from Vision of Peace Hermitages and for her work with Fr. Bob at St. Augustine's. Her joy was authentic, her attitude irrepressible, and her faith profound. She gave others the freedom to be who they were in her presence. She made the world and the local Church in St. Louis a better place for all her works of mercy, her heartfelt worship and her communion with others. May Jesus the Good Shepherd lead her home!

I have just heard about Jane's passing, and my heart is heavy with the loss of her, although I know she would not want that , but it is hard to believe we will never see her again, I will miss her hugs and smiles and "I love you's ", I sent her a thank you note once and told her that she was what I thought all Christians should be and she was an example for me and so many others, I am a social worker and she helped me always be able to help so many others. Her life is a symbol of love , giving and unselfishness, I know there is another angel in heaven, I wish I would have got to get one more hug from her. Will miss you Jane but I know our Lord will enjoy you so much.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same. (Flavia Weedn)
I have been enamored with Jane Corbett since I was in grade school and she spoke to my class about her work in Haiti. She was an inspiration to me during the crucial years in my life that really formed me. Her life and example helped me to become the woman I am today. Jane left her footprint on my heart.
I often wondered how she could be so present and active helping so many people and not get worn out. When I worked with her at Sts. Peter and Paul soup kitchen, I learned it was not just about feeding the people. She truly loved the people she served. She taught me to see all humans are created by God, and they are serving me as much as I am serving them. The people we fed were people with hopes, fears, joys, stories, and experiences.
As a child, I learned about the works of mercy and I treated them as a check list. I wondered how I would ever be able to visit the imprisoned. Jane taught me that the works of mercy are not something to be attained rather they should be lived. They are not what you do but who are. Everyday is full of opportunity to show mercy, to make someone feel loved, to welcome someone, and to be a gift to someone.
I feel honored to know her, blessed that she could influence me, and compelled to continue to be Christ to others. Jane Corbett will live forever in my heart.

I was among many who knew her through the years from working with Cary, Tom and Bob. I was always amazed at her stamina and willingness to help those in need. A truly selfless person who gave 100%. Who among us have given anywhere near what Jane has given. No doubt she is enjoying peace for all she has done and expected nothing in return. Iron bells will ring for years in celebration of her arrival in heaven I'm certain.
April 5, 2016
I knew of Jane and loved her from afar.
I never met Jane personally, yet I knew her. My friend, Bob, always spoke of his wife, Jane, as being a saint, and now I see why. Jesus told us to love one another as he loved us. She knew in her heart what Jesus said and meant and lived it with all her love for her Savior, whom she saw in each and every person she met. My friend,s wife and mother of his marvelous family did just that from all that has been said by the family and friend's comments about this saintly person. I would have loved to have met Jane in person; nevertheless, I knew her, and will pray to her and for her family each and every day. +May almighty God continue to bless her family and the people she met along her way to His eternal Kingdom.

We were blessed to have been witness many times to Jane doing God's work. For one, driving with her to deliver leftovers from St. Michael's Ash Wednesday Fish Fry. The fish fry deliveries led to my son Anthony's service project for his Confirmation; making sandwiches for the shelter. Others included the set -up for the garage sales for Haiti and hot cocoa sales. I've always felt blessed and close to God simply being near her. While I have many wonderful memories the most warming one was when my stepson Anthony's mom passed away. Jane was one of the first people to stop by bringing desserts and handwritten notes, a prayer book and she sat with him and prayed with him. I wasn't home to witness it but my husband Joe was and when he shared what Jane did with me he cried. Jane was a beautiful soul who loved everyone but always made you feel special. Now it's time to rest and be in His glory.

'Saint Jane' was so helpful when our seven year old granddaughter, Macy, died suddenly in 2011. She reached out to Fr. Joe Kempf from Assumption Parish in O'Fallon, MO to help our grieving family. We've never met anyone like her in all our 70 years. She was truly a 'one of a kind' positive person with a strong religious faith. All the Visitation Sisters of Minneapolis send their sympathy, prayer and love to Jane's family and dear ones as we thank God for our friendship with Jane and for her amazing witness to Christ through her Gospel living . For years she would send us "love notes" for special occasions. Now we send one to all who were touched by her life. "Live Jesus" because Jesus has lived through the presence of "St. Jane" Jennings Corbett !

Dear Corbett Family, We are so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother and grandmother. We feel so fortunate to have known such an amazing woman and to have been blessed by her unending love. She was the most caring, considerate and generous person we have ever known and are so thankful for all she has done for our family and for so many others in the world. Love, the Tayloe & Roemerman Families
