Brother John, this world is so much less inspiring and hopeful without your gentleness, humility and compassion. I am very fond of the time we spent coaching our girl's soccer teams along with Pat Theodore. Great times and better memories. You, Jay and I had a wonderful men's club and a kindred spirit that will never be the same now that you're our missing man. I think though that it will be to our benefit and advantage to remember your generosity of spirit, the way you evangelized Christ your Savior and the unification that peace, laughter and loyalty bring. I know that is what you would want for us all. You were forever the bridge builder of faith, communion and friendship. Can't recall the many times you invited someone sitting alone to "the round table" to extend your hand in fellowship. The world needs more of who you are buddy. Look over us and give us a nudge when we need it. That's how your memory will serve me the best. Your legacy will be the examples you left for us to remember. Thank you and God Bless you brother John. Your girls are amazing and they're going to be alright. I'll keep bring the donuts. Love you.

To all the Bowes, John always was a leader that used his compassion to convince us to do the right thing, even if we did stupid things as kids. John always lived as if we had a better purpose, never taking for granted that in order to grow we had to suffer.
I hope the suffering leads us to grow with John.
Love always

Hannah, Elizabeth, and Tonya, I cried when I heard the news for both John and you guys. I know there is one who is helping the grief, though. “A mother’s arms are more comforting than anyone else’s.” —Princess Diana

John always had a sweet smile and a friendly chuckle. Always appreciated his warmth and genuine, giving nature. Have very funny memories of John and my brother Leo, walking me home from kindergarten. Sending love and healing peace to Tonya, Hannah, Elizabeth, Rich and Joan, Tommy, Angela, Mike, Steve, Kevin, and gang. You all have a wonderful family. xo

Offering my deepest sympathy to John's wife, daughters, parents, and family.
John left this world way too soon but we have to trust in God's will for each of us. Eternal rest grant upon him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
Blessed Mother, please comfort John's family as they mourn his loss.
This is a photo of John from a (1974?) Walsh/Bowe camping trip to Colorado. I remember waiting for them at the top of the mountain and seeing their car approach on the highway but kept going back down the other side... waving as they passed. They had no brakes! We jumped in our car and met them a few miles out on the flat land where their car finally came to a stop. I also remember white water rafting (driving the guide crazy getting thrown overboard or in the middle of water fights... I blame my dad most!) and playing hide 'n seek in the sage bushes at night. I think that was the place where a forest ranger came up to us with a dead rattlesnake on a stick warning us about them.
I know we also spent fun times down at Terre du Lac with the Bowe family.
Also, here's a picture from our last day of school in 8th grade at St. Roch.
RIP my friend.

Tonya, Hannah and Elizabeth,
Lisa, Nick, Jake and I are grieving with you for the loss of your wonderful husband and amazing dad. John and I were the best friends of our youth, growing up together and causing more trouble along with Eddie than I care to remember. John had many qualities but the most endearing were his generosity and kindness to everyone. His faith was strong and will be even stronger now that he is with God interceding for all of us in prayer. God bless you all.
