I have been fishing with John since I was around three years old. I had a ton of fun times catching crappie at Mark Twain lake with my papa, (Gary Hedden) and John Boy. I will miss John, my favorite fishing buddy.

John was one of my oldest and dearest friends. He had a big personality with a crazy quick wit. He was loving and giving to a fault. He would rather give than receive, but he will receive what he needed in heaven, I'm quit sure! I will miss him forever.

I am so very sorry to learn of John's passing. He was a big brother to me when I needed guidance in my teen years. I will never forget everything you & Gary did for me. You guys kept me out of a lot of trouble. I hope you knew how much it meant to me when you had to listen to the silly problems of a teenage girl. Thanks for being there for me. Though you leave an empty space in our hearts, heaven has gained a shining star.

Forever in my heart.... forever alive in our Daughter. Try not to fish out the lakes in Heaven ok? I'm sure my Dad would like to catch a few! I'm going to miss you in ways you never knew, but that I never forgot. Whenever the snow is heavy on the ground, I will picture the man I fell in love with in his heavy parka, and icicles hanging in his beard.
