I am saddened to learn of Ken's passing. He was an iconic individual and plastic surgeon. We went back to when I was a surgery intern and he was a plastic surgery resident at the VAH in 1973. Truly one of a kind. My condolences to his family.

I have known Ken for over 30 years. Ken was a wonderful friend and outstanding surgeon. My husband Paul and I met at his wedding in March 1994. We married 6 months later. Ken has played a very important role in our lives. He was funny, generous, and had a big heart. Both Paul and I will miss him with all of our hearts. Our sympathy and prayers to his family.

I knew Ken for years. He was a "creature of habit" as he used to say. He was kind, thoughtful, funny, would do any surgery for children free, humble, and just about now he would say, "Do I have time for this?" He made become a cyclist which in turn made my kids and most of my friends cyclist. We would ride the Katy Trail with his brother Jim on many Saturdays. I knew him in a personal level. I say this because I have a video of him Bunjee jumping!!! He was one of my contributors when I would ride in the MS-150 ride. I last spoke to him 2 years ago when I was in New Mexico for the balloon Fiesta and we were never able to meet up but he said we'd do dinner the next time I was in town. He was a great person and I also had the opportunity to work with him at DePaul. Rest In Peace my friend. God bless your family in their time if sorrow. You have my deepest condolences .

Dr Corwin worked with me tirelessly to correct the cavernous hemangioma I had on my lip. He never gave up until he was as close to perfection as possible. He was wonderful and I know I am not the only patient he had that benefitted from his dedication.
