I am at a complete shock.. I was looking up his practice address and came across an article stating that this wonderful and compassionate man had passed on. I have been a patient of Dr. Rybicki for at least 10 years now my husband and I are patient of doctors Cole who is also a great Doctor.. I will never forget Dr. Rybicki, he assisted my husband with his Epilepsy disease when he was on the highest dose of phenobarbital about six years ago ... My husband was having seizures like twice or more a week, With the aid and intelligence of Dr. Rybicki my husband has been seizure free since! Such a caring yet supportive Doctor with awesome bed side manners. You are missed Dr. Rybicki. My prayers and condolences to your family and friends.

My colleague here at FOX 2 just informed me of his passing. This saddens me so. I had the pleasure of having Dr Rybicki on my KMOX Health show talking about his beating cancer and how he found neovitin. It is so sad that he was able to survive such an ordeal and then pass this way. My prayers are with the family!

My wife (Dee) and I were both shocked and saddened to read of Dr. Rybicki's passing in the St. Louis Post last week. Words cannot express our sadness at the untimely death of this wonderful doctor and compassionate person. We became his patients when he joined the Drs. Abel and Abel practice following the untimely passing of another great physician and compassionate individual, Dr. Oliver Abel. We had begun with Dr. Ollie in 1966 getting our blood tests to be married (almost 50 years ago, February 1966). We were so sad when Dr. Oliver passed, but soon learned that Dr. Ken possessed so many of the same compassionate characteristics as Dr. Oliver. Over those nearly 30 years, Dr. Ken was our anchor as he steadied our sometimes rocky health ship at Barnes Hospital. Even though we live in Cape Girardeau, MO (about 125 miles away), we knew he was always there to help us through some life threatening health issues, among them cancer for me in 1994 and now cancer for Dee in 2015. We last saw him in March of this year as he again caringly guided us through the steps to prepare Dee for cancer surgery. We both credit him with providing live saving medical insight for us when local doctors were not on the cutting edge in medicine as we always found him to be. Our deepest sympathy is extended to each of his family members and to the medical staff who were so dear to him and us (Carol, Angie, Sharon, and others) over the years. In addition, our sympathy is extended to all the patients, current and former whom he treated, as they undoubtedly feel the great sense of personal loss with his passing. His Crown in Glory will undoubtedly be filled with many and sparkling jewels, just as he was such a jewel while here on earth. May God, the Holy Comforter, provide the peace and comfort everyone needs at this time.

Our prays go out to Ken's Family We were childhood friends and Ken always had a smile on his face and was very entertaining to be around. We were in the Boyscouts together and he was always a leader to the younger Scouts. Ken was an Eagle Scout and someone that we respected and could ask for help He also explained a lot of things to us that our parents maybe thought were too advanced for an eleven year old boy. Always the first to get us into mischief Thanks Ken for being our friend

"Kenny" is a treasured, childhood friend of mine--from back in our Emge days. Always a class act, as are and were his family-of-origin members. I kept up with Kenny via my BTHSW Ya-Ya sisters who remained in the St. Louis area. I am heartbroken for the Rybicki's loss, for our world's loss. Holding you all in prayer and love.

Thank you God for letting Ken be on earth as long as he did. Ken took my daughter, Krysten Byrne Bailey, under his wing and became a great friend, teacher, mentor, and father figure. He was there for her twins, Dustin and Patrick, through all their sports injuries and illnesses. I know if he was still on earth he would be telling Krysten to move forward and follow her dreams. Because of Ken's caring guidance, she became the amazing nurse she is. Also, thank you Susi for being such a great friend to Krysten. Susi may you and your family find peace during this time of grief. He is now your guardian angel.

dr rybicki was the best !!!!!!!!! i first met him when i was a nurse in the bjc ed and he was an intern. he was kind and considerate-treated the nurses as colleagues. more importantly he was an excellent physician. he treated patients with respect regardless of their age, ethnicity or economic status. i continued to occasionally meet him by chance for many years after he became an attending and my nursing role became more administrative-he always remembered me and greeted me by name. as time went on he became the attending for my father and cared for him until my dad died. dr rybicki maintained a good balance between advanced diagnostic testing and comfort care. dr rybicki will be missed by many more than his family and friends. he touched many lives

When I think of Ken, I picture him fit and handsome, with a broad smile on his face, as a lively competitor and a genial, gracious host, especially to his older aunties. I trust he knows how much he is missed by the many who knew and loved him. Aunt Peggy .

Dear Family,
My heart is broken over the loss of Ken. He and I were classmates at Belleville West and my husband, Gary, was his neighbor growing up. Ken was truly one in a million. I have so many funny and happy memories of our time together in marching band at West. I prayed long and hard for him when he came down with pancreatic cancer and was so thankful when he beat it! He has left an amazing legacy for his children and grandchildren. I am praying that you will all feel God's loving arms wrapped around you, holding you close and filling you with His peace in the days ahead. Heaven is a better place now that Ken is there!
