Dear Suhre Family,

Please accept my deepest sympathies, Bob was truly a great person and brought a special presence to Chase like no other, when he walked into a room you knew he was there. And we would say "Bob's here" God has him now but he will Always be in our hearts. God Bless

Jill, Christopher, Sam and Brian, I wanted to post my words from the funeral service:

I want to tell you what Bob meant to me. He made me feel like I was actually living up to being the person I was supposed to be...like I made a difference...like I was someone special...and at the same time he wouldn't hesitate to bring me down to earth when I needed it...

I can't remember anymore how many times I hired him or how many resignation letters he gave me...ya we worked together on and off for 20 years but our friendship meant more to me than any project or procedure, or sales results we ever accomplished together.

He was recenty reassigned to me for a systems project, of course at my request. And he certainly was the right guy for the job. But I gotta tell you half the reason I wanted to work directly with him was just to get hooked into the rich comradarie that we had...in the short month he spent on this project he's already touched the hearts of the new team that he was working with...

Some of my memories of Bob over the years...

The Cardinals vs. Cubs at Wrigley Field in September of 89 - Bob and I used to bet lunches on that rivalry and that year I won a few since the Cubs won the division...but I lost them all when Bob bet with the Giants to beat the Cubs in the NLCS...which of course they did...

His Bearded Lady halloween costume at Citinortgage - I was dressed as a circus greaser/his boyfriend, and after the REO department paraded across the makeshift stage in the cafeteria he jumped off the stage into my arms- I don't think my back's been the same since...

His promotion to REO supervisor in Feb 91 - he began supervising a team of asset managers handling NY REO properties - he went on the road periodically to train agents and inspect properties...I got to go with him on occasion and got to enjoy White Castle with him at 2 am in Queens...and the great jukebox they had at one of our hotels on Long Island...where he egged me on to dance with the various barstools that were handy...

Our kids baseball tournaments...adult softball tournaments...you know he brought Brian and Tyler to watch my softball game earlier this month...

In Dec 06 Bob called me after hearing that I had left Citi - we hadn't talked in about a year - we talked for an hour and by the end of the call we had come up with the idea of him coming down to take a position in TX - and by the next week he actually had an offer in his hand - and things just don't work that quickly in corporate america...at that point we knew the Suhre migration to TX was meant to be...

Joe Lanning, one of our coworkers from San Diego called me Sunday and said Bob was all about family and the Cardinals. Joe appreciated the Cardinals topic since like Bob he grew up in Missouri. Joe struck a chord when he said you could always count on Bob to help you through a tough day on the job, without trying or even knowing he was doing it. And believe me we've had a lot of those tough days lately.

But from a family perspective you couldn't talk with Bob for any length of time without him bubbling over about Christopher...Sam and Brian and Jill...but more than anything...his pride and joy, Tyler. That special relationship between Tyler and peepaw is what hits me the hardest about Bob's premature departure. And the fact that Sam and Brian have baby number 2 on the way. But that's what we all have to hang onto. Watching Tyler and Sissy grow up, seeing some of Bob in them and knowing he's looking down on them, watching and glowing as their lives blossom.

Bob's frienship meant the world to me. He made me feel like he needed me...which is always nice...but I know he's looking down on me right now knowing that I needed him even more.

With much love, fond memories and sorrow,

Andy & Judi Broyles

Jill,Sam,Christopher,Brian and Tyler. How can I put this into words..when there are no words to explain to you how incredibly unreal this all seems to be! Meeting you 22 yrs ago was truly a blessing for us. We were the lucky ones..as we got to share so much of our lives together. Memories that we have will make us smile, when we want to cry. Bob was one of a kind..we will miss his laugh, his nicknames for everyone, his teasing, his singing, his love for the cardinals, his sense of humor, his love for his family and friends. We love you all and will keep Bob in our hearts, just where he has always has been!

Dear Suhre Family,
I went to both Woodward grade school and Cleveland High School with Bob, and those formative years really make you feel close to someone even though you've lost touch.

After reading all the wonderful comments from friends and family here, I sure wish I could have spent the time to know him as a grown man because it sounds as if he turned out to be a real gem! Loving family dearly, loving life, and laughing along the way...what a great guy! I'd love to see a picture of him if anyone has any to post here.

I'm sorry I missed the services, but I hadn't checked email for a few days, and didn't know. You all are in my prayers, as Bob and God watch over you from above now.

I've known Bob for almost 20 years. We worked together off and on at Citi for years. We both moved to Dallas a couple of years ago and managed to meet up with him at several happy hours. He never changed, always happy and joking. We were always able to pick up where we left off, just like we just saw each other yesterday. Good friends are like that and we were. Rich and Jill worked with each other for a while at Chase and became good friends. The four of us recently met up and had dinner, talked about the good old days as well as what is going on now. The conversations seem to always go back to the kids. He was very proud of Chris going to college, Sam, Brian and that wonderful grandson. Bob loved his family and loved life. He will be missed.

Dear Jill and Family

We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Our prayers will always be with you and your family. Bob and I met back in 1992 and worked together at Citi back in St. Louis from 1993 to 1996. We had stayed in contact with each other all these years. He was a good man and a good friend. He was truly a genuine person to all he met. His family and friends meant the world to him and him to us. CJ and I will miss him greatly. Again, our thoughts and prayers will always be with you.

Suhre Family,

I am deeply sorry for loss. I met Bob a little over a year ago. He was the best Boss anyone could ever have. He was funny, caring, and respectful. There was never a dull moment with him around. From jokes to upset buyer phone calls he brought joy and laughter to this department. He will truly be missed. I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet and work with Bob. Working here will never be the same. I hope that through God you are able to find peace and comfort through this tragic time. I will keep each and every one of you in my prayers!

The best time I have had at Citi will always be with Bob being my Boss. His personality, fun, patience and respect he gave me will surpass anyone that I will ever work for in the past or future. Bob made an impact on alot of people inside and outside of the company. He is missed.
