Roger Gerard Cole

1971 - 2024

Roger Gerard Cole was a proud husband and father, educator, athlete, actor-writer, and faithful servant of Jesus Christ. Roger passed into the arms of his savior on August 5th, 2024. He was 53 years old. Roger's service is being held in Las Vegas at Liberty Baptist Church on August 17, 2 pm.

Roger was born on April 15th, 1971 to parents Roger Cole Sr. and Linda Bibbs Cole in St Louis, Missouri. He was a bubbly, energetic, outgoing, and happy person. His spark was infectious. He always looked for the good in people.

He grew up in Ballwin, MO, and was baptized at Ballwin Baptist Church. He attended KU and Missouri Baptist University and later secured his MBA and certifications to teach Business and Management and Computer Science. He loved to teach.

Recently Roger pursued study and creative work in film, acting, script writing, producing and directing, often featuring minorities and women as role models and leading characters. His short film script I Love You More received accolades in 3 film festivals in 2020. He also won 2 awards for his solo shorts, Stay Home and Stay Safe and the 48-hr film Last Ride. His faith inspired him to create the national, successful Faith and Family Film Festival.

Roger is survived by his wife Melinda, his 3 children, Caleb Cole, Kyle Cole, and Alyssa Cole Glancy and her husband Tim Glancy, a sister La Rhonda Simmons, mother-in-law Linda Reese, his uncle Leonard Cole, aunts Susheel Bibbs, Barbara Cole Jacobs, and Shirley Cole McCullouch, and cousins Leon Algee, Tracy Shrouder, Terri Gazda, and Cheryl Fleming.
