The MO-KS-NE Conference at Camden on the Lake won't be the same next year without Duck being at the reception to visit with Teamster friends. So very sorry for the loss, was a good guy, will miss him.

To the Wurst Family: Ron and I graudated High School together, enlisted in the Navy under the Buddy plan, was stationed together on east coast for over 2 years. Ron served as Groomsman during Regina and I's marriage 49 years ago. We were firemen together for the city of Desloge and socialized in the years past our military service. I talked to Ron a couple of months back, inviting him, as my Groomsman,to attend Regina and I's 50th anniversary next year. Sorry to learn of Duck's passing and will miss having him at our 50th wedding anniversary and our 50th class reunion. We cherish lots of good memories and photos of our times together. I ask God's blessing to your family in the years ahead. Jim and Regina Hahn

No words can convey my sorrow at the loss of the person who was the closest thing I could have to a brother. His daily phone calls to the house to yell hello...Ricobird before leaving messages for (Randy or myself) will be sorely missed. One of these days out of the blue, Rico is going to say Hi Duck! Duck wanted to hear that and never gave up on it. Duck brought me laughter, joy and encouragement. Sometimes some aggravation when I needed a little prodding (or even when I didn't). He was fiercely devoted to friends and loved his family with all his heart, and was a special man to many people. He warned me about becoming a "Wurst" and then welcomed me to the family with open arms. Duck treated me like I had always been part of the family. My heart is broken to have lost him so early. My prayers are with you and the family. Life is such a blur during these times of grief and sorrow. Know that my prayers are for your strength and solace as you find your way through this sadness. It feels so impossible that he has left us. Isn't that just like him to run off to heaven and not say...see ya soon! It is numbing right now though he is forever in our hearts. Loving Sister (in-law), Kat (aka...Sissy...Meow...Meow)

Deb,
We are praying for you and wishing you peace and comfort at this time. Duck was a wonderful man. And as my Daddy's Best Friend he was always there for our family even after Daddy passed. He was a wonderful friend to Momma during her illness also, and she was so grateful for that. We loved that Guy! May the special memories you hold dear to your heart always comfort you. We love you and are here if you need us.

Truly sorry for you loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Duck was a wonderful neighbor and friend to my parents for over 20 years. He would also have a special bag of candy at Halloween for my sons. He would always come out and talk to see how the boys were and ask about the other grandkids when I would stop by to see my parents. He will be truly missed around the neighborhood.
