My family is extremely saddened for all of Zita's family. During these difficult times we pray that you will find comfort in knowing that Zita will forever be in God's memory. We pray that you all find comfort in the God of peace (Psalm 82:18).

Heartfelt condolences to dearest Ed, and the whole family. Fondly remember dearest Zita, and many happy memories around her favorite fishing hole, kitchen table, and especially the 'surprise' 75th party she planned for Ed :) May she rest in peace.

I remember Zita as one of my OB/GYN instructors in 1977. She suggested to me that I work at Incarnate Word Hospital after graduation so that I would be able to get tuition assistance at St. Louis University to get a BSN. She was so quiet, but then suddenly would take off running down the hall. She was so fast. Petite and fast. Happy and smiling. Smart.
I am so sorry for the loss of this spirit on earth.

I taught w Zita at Lutheran School of Nursing many yrs ago. She took me under her wing and TAUGHT me how to instruct students. She was always my role model. We lost contact w each other after she moved from Texas. My heart is sad that she is gone but happy that she is in heaven, reaping the rewards of a life well lived.

God Bless the D'Souza family during these times of mourning. I fondly remember her as a great nursing instructor. Her calm and caring spirit (not only to her patients but to us the lowly nursing student) was beyond measure.

Heartfelt sympathies to Uncle Ed, and to Genevieve, Peter, Lisa, Sr Lynn, and the rest of the family.
We most fondly remember her friendship, loving care and hospitality to us in the 90s in College Station, TX.
May her soul rest in peace,
Ron Fernandes and family.
