Felicia A. Culberson, 50, was summoned to eternal rest on Thursday, August 2, 2012. She was born February 25, 1962 in Gulfport, MS and was the second oldest child of nine for Ralph and Verlean Culberson. She was a graduate of Gulfport High School Class of 1980. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and spent her entire career in healthcare. Felicia enjoyed being a nurse. She worked at USA Medical Center in Mobile, AL; Driftwood Nursing Home and The Boyington Nursing Home both in Gulfport, MS; Professional Home Health and Gulf Coast Medical Center both in Biloxi, MS. She worked for Gulfport Memorial Hospital for the past 9 years, where she will be greatly missed by her fellow co-workers. Those who knew Felicia knew that if she wasn't visiting her grandchildren, her two favorite things to do were reading and going to play bingo with her big brother Ray.
She was preceded in death by her son Sean Ray Edward Quinton Culberson, mother, Verlean Culberson, brother, Roy E. Culberson, and grandparents Allen (Mary) Culberson and Marshall Howard. She is survived by her father, Ralph (Barbara)Culberson ; her maternal grandmother, Annie Bell Howard of Tylertown, MS; two daughters, Lasheena M. Culberson of Houston, TX and Lakecia (Charles) Culberson Hall of Houston, TX; one son, Stefan Culberson of Gulfport, MS; two grandsons, Raishon Stefan Hall-Culberson and Meachem Dornell Quinton Hall of Houston, TX; one granddaughter, Brieana Janae Wooten of Houston, TX; four sisters, Theresa Boykin, Doris Culberson, Carol Culberson, Denisa Culberson , all of Gulfport, MS; three brothers, Ray (Linda) Culberson of Gulfport, MS, Rudolph Culberson of Gulfport, MS, and Robert (Veronica) Culberson of Slidell, LA; adopted brother Howard Darron Cameron of Pass Christian, MS, and adopted sister Monica Lynn Johnson, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am with service beginning at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Mount Bethel Missionary Baptist Church; 2100 30th Ave in Gulfport, MS.

The only thing I can say was God loved my beautiful cousin best of all. I am glad he gave us the opportunity to have her in our lives for 50 great years. She was special from birth. She was Allen and Mary Culbersons first granddaughter. She was Ralph and Verlean Culbersons first daughter. She was John Henry,Cora Lee, Don,Willie Earl,Robert Earl and Gartellas and Loretta's first niece. She was the first female sibling to Ray,Roy,Teresa,Doris,Rudolph,Carol Lee, Robert, Denisa.She was the first and only love as a fantastic, unbelievable God broke the mold mother of LaSheena, Sean, Lakiesha, and Stephon. She was so special to Granny after that she was so special to everyone she encountered. If I could do life over, the Mother she was I would love to be. I loved my cousin. I will miss her dearly. When I go to Lewis, I have always looked for Aunt Verlean. Now I have to look for my cousin Felicia. I love you guys my family. God will make this heartache a little bit easier to bear. I know you think it was sudden but God was the only one who knew the exact day,hour,and minute also second. What we will do now is reflect back on the incidences that made us smile and let the smiles coax us thru the future. My mom told me yesterday. The heart Felicia had she would not want us to pass because she passed. Her heart would want all of us to live on. What is wrong with people on earth is they have lost the love. My cousin had not.
