I was just informed about Alex's home coming. My prayer is that you and your family know that you have not lost Alex. That you know he is home with his maker and one day soon, you will see him again. To All Who Share in Our Loss: How blessed I was, am and always will be to have the privilege of being the mother of so remarkable a human being as Alexander Billingsley McRae. He will always be my golden boy. Isaiah 40:29-31 tells us that "He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." There is some kind of party going on in heaven today, and Alex is probably yelling down at me "Yo Ma! Whazzzzup?" and as he has so often said to me over the past few months "I am your soldier!" Thanks for all your heartfelt condolences. They are appreciated for more than words can express. I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Alex, but I do have a clear memory of him when he was probably only 2 years old. It was during the Billingsley Christmas program when Anna & the Pastor sang "The Men in My Little Girl's Life." I remember Anna walking Alex up on stage saying "Dad, there's a boy outside, his name is Alex McRae. He'd like to know if his Grandpa can come out to play." I imagine the scene now to be "God, there's a man outside, his name is Alex McRae. He'd like to know if his Grandpa can come out to play." God bless you all at this difficult time.
