One year ago, dear Daryl, you completed your mission here on earth and, with sadness in our hearts, we sent you off to lay in the arms of our Lord. We know the pain will never go away in the hearts of your loved ones, but we pray that God will give us all a greater understanding of why He took you back at such a tender age. We think of you at this Thanksgiving time, more than ever, and we ask for blessings upon your mom and dad and all of us who love you so dearly.

Today on Thanksgiving, we are all thinking of our beloved Daryl and missing him, all of us with a pain that can never be fully expressed no matter how many words we use. And while we may find it hard to give thanks today with such a tragedy on our minds, let us remember that while we have lost Daryl, we still have each other. And that makes the loss of our wonderful little angel just a little bit easier to bear.
I hope that today we can all remember Daryl by showing each other the kind of love and affection that he showed so effortlessly while he was with us.
I love you all, and you are all in my thoughts and my heart today, and every day.

My dearest Daryl,
Yesterday was 1 year since I saw you last and felt your tightest hug ever, as 5 of us laid on the bed together at Deo and Sally's in Florida. How we giggled and laughed never knowing that it was the last. I miss you terribly; however no pain can be greater than your Mom's and Dad's.

Daryl, you will forever be etched in our hearts. We have never stopped thinking of you and as November 23rd comes around the pain is as vivid as it was one year ago. May God keep you safely in his lap until we all meet you again and may God soothe the pain of your Mom and Dad and Dylan, Nicole and Christine and your loving Ajee and Ajaa with his blessings so that they get through this difficult week.

Dear Gosein Family,
I had only known Daryl for a brief time but he touched my heart in so many ways. I want you to all know your angel has touched my life once again.
This past Easter while on vacation my husband had a seizure in the pool and had a near drowning. I had to jump in the pool and pull him out. Just in that brief second I heard someone say" you know CPR". I truely believe Daryl was there and is part of the reason my husband is alive today. I miss him greatly and think about him often.
Your family is always in my thoughts and prayers.

My dearest Daryl,
It's been 3 months now since you left us and being here in Florida seems like it was only yesterday. A few days ago, someone shared the following regarding a normal day -- how I wish for a normal day of Nov 22, 2006.
"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return." author anonymous

When God calls little children
To dwell with Him above,
We mortals sometimes question
The wisdom of His love.
For no heartache compares with,
The death of one small child,
Who does so much to make our world, Seem so wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling
The aged to His fold, So He picks a rosebud Before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them, And so He takes but few,
To make the land of heaven
More beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult Still somehow we must try,
The saddest word mankind knows
will always be Good-by. So when a little child departs, We who are left behind Must realize God loves children, Angels are hard to find.

My Dearest Daryl, today was your special day with your twin brother, Dylan. Your brother had a 1/2 hour class birthday party this morning with cupcakes for his entire class, and then I watched your Mom celebrate your birthday with hundreds of birds at the water where your ashes were scattered. She was fair to you and spent 1/2 hour at your party feeding the birds 3 bags of your favorite snacks and beautifying the water with red rose petals. You are missed each day, and today has been the saddest day of all.

Dear Wendy, Kishore, Nicole, Christine and Dylan,
Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there...to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become.
You never know who these people may be, but when you lock eyes with them, you know that every moment they will affect your life in some profound way. And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but on reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles, you would have never realized your potential, strength, will power or heart.
Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless -- the people you meet affect your life.
Daryl has affected all of our lives in many different ways…he cast his ‘Jadoo’ on us and then he left to go a Dios {with God(s)}…let us never forget how this soul brought us all together…he left Little Dillie for us to always remember him by….thank you Lord for letting Daryl spend that short interlude with us…we miss him sorely but we are happy that he now sits on Your lap.

... Life is eternal; and Love is immortal;
And Death is only a horizon;
And a horizon is nothing
save for the limit of our sight ...
This extract from R Raymond's poignant analogy of Death with a ship going out on the blue ocean until it "hangs like a speck where sea and sky meet", make us think especially of our beloved Daryl on his 6th Birthday today. But Daryl is ageless, and timeless ... He's gone, yes, but "Gone where?" ... From ".. our sight, that's all .."
In his short time with us, he gave us so much, he taught us so much. For those gifts we are and must be forever grateful .. as we remember him, and as we look and stretch to the horizon, well beyond the limit of our sight.
With special hugs for Wens, Kish, Nic, Chris, Dylan, Aja and Ajee, et.al. ... from "Tants", Mickey, Lee and Matt.
And Happy Birthday, Dyl.

Dear Kishore and Wendy,
Life I believe, is not mentioned by time but by Impact. Whilst I did not know Daryl I am certain that this special little boy taught you a great deal and perhaps caused you to look at life more deeply than those who were not touched by him.
May his memory continue on with you and your family as a source of strength rather than sadness and may his special life be a source of inspiration rather than defeat, in a celebration of the "Impact" that was Daryl.

Dearest Wendy and Kishore, today, and this date in many years into the future will always give us all a great sense of peace, tranquillity and love. Daryl, in his own way filled our hearts and minds with these qualities and more.
We will always shed a tear because we have lost a lovable human being, However, we will also adorn a smile when we visualize him with his soft beaming eyes as he challenges you to smile a bigger smile than his.
Dylan had the greatest parents in this world and his contentment solidifies that.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
