I took a nutrition class with Dr DiMarco in 2008 and she changed my life. She changed the way I view food and medicine and helped me discover my gluten sensitivity when no one else could. She was an amazing lady. So intelligent and compassionate. I miss her and I will never forget her. I still have the textbook she wrote and I treasure it.

Donna (Pessa), I felt your purple light suddenly dim a year ago, even from afar, not yet knowing why. I sensed a loss but hoped beyond it and wrote you after so many years...but you were gone...the Woman Who Owned the Florida Moon was now at rest in Heaven. For those who knew and loved you, your presence will remain and burn brightly here on Earth...my deep regret is not having had the chance to say a last "good-bye."

I've been thinking a lot about Ms DiMarco lately and how wise and knowledgeable she was. I took a Nutrition course with her at Broward College and I'm now studying Dietetics and nutrition. I learned more from her than I have any of the professors at my university. She truly impacted my thinking and beliefs about Nutrition and I wish I could thank her every day for it. I know she is now at peace and no longer is suffering. I wish the best for her family who she often spoke about. God bless.
