Francis Clougherty Obituary

Clougherty, Francis E., 83, of Ft. Lauderdale, formerly of Quincy, MA, passed away after a long illness on April 12, 2004 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in West Palm Beach. Francis was the owner of Boston Printing in Ft. Lauderdale. He served his country in the US Navy during World War II, and was the recipient of the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Francis is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen Clougherty; his 2 sons, France Clougherty Jr., and his wife, Nisi of Miami Beach, and Michael T. Clougherty and his wife, Denise of Jupiter. Also surviving Francis are 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 from 6 - 8 pm at Grossberg & Son Memorial Chapel, 6970 Stirling Rd, Hollywood. The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2004 at 1 pm at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, 2731 SW 11 Ct, Ft. Lauderdale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made in Francis' name to St. Thomas Aquinas High School, 2801 SW 12 St, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33312. Arrangements entrusted to BARBARA FALOWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES.
