Gary Egan Obituary

Egan , Gary M., 54, of Cooper City died at his residence on Friday, June 8. Born in Brooklyn, NY on February 25, 1953, he was the eldest son of "The French Connection" detective, Eddie Egan. He moved to Florida after serving in the Marine Corp and earning his Bachelor's degree at USC-Long Beach. Gary was an avid musician, writer, artist and baseball enthusiast. He is survived by his loving wife, Marsha; beloved daughter, Tyler Marie; three sisters, Patricia Egan-Mead, Vicki Egan-Root, Kerry Egan; three brothers, Michael Egan, Ed Egan, Ken Egan; seven nieces, Keri, Alyssa, Dawn, Kayla, Amanda, Michele, Dianna; and a nephew, David. Visitation will be on June 13 from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 5601 S Flamingo Rd, SW Ranches, FL 33330

We are so sorry for your loss. Although we had lost touch, we still thought of Gary often and we have fond memories of our times with him. Our prayers are with you at this sad time. Please know that we would be there in person to offer condolences if we could - we are visiting family out of town.
