It is hard for me to believe that we lost "Ti Ronald" 12 years ago. Thinking about him always brings a smile to my face because Ronald, always made me feel important. He would ask my brother-in-law, how I was doing and when we would meet in person, there was so much joy. I miss hanging out with him like we did in the 70's playing music.....

My uncle Ronald, I know you can now see everything. My words are just that, words. But my heart aches for your smile, your voice, and your hug. I will miss you so much. We all will. In keeping with your kind spirt, we will do our best to look to eachother for support and to share all the great memories of you, your kindness, and your love. Thank you uncle, for showing us what unconditional love is, and for loving us in such a way. You are a hero to us all, and we will never, forget you.

Dear Jarmil, the words escape me and the more I try the less they seem appropriate. I was on vacation when I heard the terrible news. As soon as I got home,I dug up a turntable then searched for the album. I listened to Shupa Shupa and it brought me to a much happier time. My friend, you and your family are on my mind and in my heart. Ronald's spirit will be kept alive one way or another.

While I did not know Mr. Chery, there are no words that can really help to ease the loss you all bear. I work with DHS and have 2 USCIS employees and their family members posted in Haiti. I keep them in my thoughts and prays and will keep you and your family close in my prayers as well. The void is never filled or replaced but the memories of the life lived sustain us until we join one another in the greater life to come. I will also pray for the safe return of your family member.
