O'Brien, Joan M. (nee Sherlock), of Coral Springs, FL; sunrise June 1st, Bronx, New York; sunset August 9, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Lt. Col. Donald C. O'Brien, USAF-Ret., and BSO-Ret. They shared 8 children: Theresa (Tom) Confer, Donald C. Jr. (deceased), Colleen (Ralph) DeCerbo, Mary (Jeff) Storms, J. Thomas (Cindy) O'Brien, Kimberly (Pat) Hathaway, Erin Brown, Jennifer (Curtis) Craig. "Mother, It Was from You That I First Learned To Think, To Feel, To Imagine, To Believe, To Love . . . Love You". They also shared 12 grand-children: Katie & Jonathan Storms, Kristen O'Brien, Breanne & Andrew Hathaway, Anthony, Brendan & Cailin DeCerbo, Shannon, Ryan & Logan Brown, Donovin Craig; 1 great-grandson Brandon. She is also survived by her 2 brothers, Gerald and James Sherlock of New Jersey; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, John & Karen O'Brien of New York, along with many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by sisters, Patricia Tocco & Margaret Connelly; brother Richard Sherlock; brother-in-law Edward J. O'Brien. "Pray for Me and I'll Pray for You, Until We Meet Again In Heaven". A Memorial mass will be said at 11:15 am. Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Coral Springs, Florida. Arrangements by the KRAEER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, Florida.
