Paul Repecki Obituary

Repecki Jr., Paul J., 72, of Margate, passed away Feb. 15, 2011. He was born June 10, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY, to Paul and Catherine (Sagan) Repecki. He served in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. McGowan from 1958-62. He worked in data processing in New York before relocating to Fort Lauderdale in 1973 to accept a director's position at Landmark Banks. He later held administrative jobs at CenTrust Savings Bank, Southeast Bank, N.A.L. Acceptance Corp. and Applied Digital Solutions. He married Linda (Krebs) Miller on Jan. 11, 1976. A drummer since age 12, he played in various bands and created "The Nocturnes." He also organized and ran a softball team under "P&L Services" at various parks in Broward from 1981-95. Loved by family and friends, he will be remembered as a caring man. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Krebs) Repecki; daughters, Tanya (Repecki) Smith and Tiffany Repecki; grandsons, Christopher Smith and T.J. Smith; sister, Joyce Repecki; and other family. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Feb. 26 at Kraeer Funeral Home, 1 N. State Road 7, Margate. Memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Send condolences at dignitymemorial.com.

Linda, I just got an E'mail from Eddie Kitchen re: Paul's passing. I hope it was peaceful; had no idea he was ill. He was a special man; he was the catalyst in giving my career in Data Processing some needed direction by getting me into IBM schools for Automated Teller programming while there at Landmark. And I greatly enjoyed our times on the softball field with him and Fred Bruce. We actually talked on the phone a couple times after I was laid off in 1993, as I considered returning to South Fla. Linda, take care, celebrate your wonderful man's life, and if there's anything I can do, please let me know.

I was shocked to hear of Pauls passing.
I had know idea that Paul was ill. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. I have very fond memories of Paul it goes back to Long Island N.Y. where we worked together at Security National Bank and also played softball together. All the years working with Paul in Florida and playing softball will always be remembered. I will cherish all the memories of Paul, he was a great friend. My God bless you and your family.

Words cannot express the deep loss felt by Paul's passing. I was only in my early 20's when I began working for him and he was an incredible person to know and learn from.
