Sandi Glatstein Obituary

Sandi Lee Glatstein, 75, formerly of New York City, died peacefully in her sleep in Tamarac, Florida on January 5, 2014. Preceded in death by husband, Mort. Survived by two sons, Scott (Ellen) and Jeff (Mary); her brother, Edwin Pollock; and her granddaughters Lauren and Samantha. Born in the Bronx, Sandi lived most of her life in New York City. Professionally, she enjoyed a long and satisfying career in real estate management working with some of New York's most prestigious firms. Her free time was spent shopping, reading, shopping, attending shows, shopping, vacationing at the Cape and of course, more shopping. Three years ago she and Mort, her loving husband of 52 years, retired and moved to Tamarac. Mort passed immediately thereafter and Sandi was left to make a new life for herself. She used her new-found Mah Jong skills to make friends and soon had so much on her calendar she was rarely home. She will be sadly missed by the relatives, friends and colleagues whose lives she touched. Sandi was laid to rest, next to her husband, at Beth Sholom Memorial Gardens in Memphis, TN. Memorials should be sent to the American Cancer Society.
