Tallahassee, FL - Eric Edgardo Altieri, Jr., 41, passed unexpectedly on Sunday, April 14, 2019. Funeral services are 3:00 p.m. SUNDAY, April 21, at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL 850-942-1950, with burial in St. John Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 3-6 p.m. Saturday at Tillman's. Born in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Eric graduated from Key West High School and attended TCC and Keiser University. He was a maintenance technician. Survivors include his wife, Wendella Hubbard Altieri; children, Eric, Makayla and Angelina Altieri; parents, Eric E. Sr. and Miriam Rodriguez Altieri; sister, Alba Altieri; brother, Jamil (Kendra) Altieri, all of Tallahassee; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Happy Birthday big head , lol. That is what Dad would say. I miss you Eric. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. You would be so proud of your son. He is doing big things. Today, I cried when I thought about you not being here. I have been missing you so much son. Only God knows the pain that's in my heart. Every morning, I wait for my phone to ring , like it use to, and when I would answer it was you. You would say, hey mom- what are you up to? We would plan on what to do. Sometimes on lunch or you would go with me to the doctor or wherever on that day.

Today, my phone didn't ring. My phone doesn't ring so early in the morning ever since you went to be with the Lord. I have missed you so much! I never knew that you would be gone so quick and without saying goodbye. The Lord must have wanted you by Him without delay because He took you so quick and it broke my heart into pieces.

I pray for you everyday son! I love you til the end of time. You will walk with me in my heart forever! Rest in God's peace! I hope grandma is with you holding you! Te amo mi hijo!

My son, my heart has been broken forever! I have missed you so much. I've missed all of those days that you called me early in the morning. All those day when you called me to take me for lunch. All of those days you came by with a big smile and tell me jokes. All of those days I called on you to come and be my company somewhere. I just missed seeing you.

You were full of life! How could you not be here with us? God, I hope that he's close to you. He always wanted to help someone, anyone. He was just a helper. God, I hope that he's your helper!

Son, today is your birthday and I would do anything to see you again. So many times, I have gone through this over and over and asked myself, what could I had done to keep you alive and close to us? Yet, I realized you were only meant to be here for that short time, for you were an angel in disguised.
