Esther Clayton-Kennon

Esther Clayton-Kennon, 81, of Crawfordville, FL passed away at Eden Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, March 19, 2015. Services celebrating her life are 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Viewing-visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850) 942-1950, with the family receiving friends from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A native of Cincinnati, OH, Mrs. Clayton-Kennon lived in Cleveland, OH prior to moving to Crawfordville seven years ago. In Cleveland, she had been employed as the Preschool Director with the Ministerial Daycare Alliance. Cherishing her love and legacy are: her sons, Mickey (Barbara) Clayton of Tallahassee, FL; Craig (Jennifer) Clayton, Houston, TX and Kevin Clayton of Atlanta, GA; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruthie and Naomi Bolden, both of San Francisco, CA; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert Bolden, Jr. and Anna Belle Spivey; and brother, William Bosby.

Ms. Esther, you will be missed. I loved the heart-to-heart talks we had. She had an uncanny way of "sizing folks" up as they were. She loved flowers, I remember even now how her eyes lit up when I brought her roses. I will really miss her.
