Dr. Nation was my most memorable professor that I knew while @ ASU over 25 years ago. His warmth, character & genuine concern for his students & passion for marketing was evident. What a great inspiration he has been to me since then (though he never knew it) and will continue to be for me. Sending out prayers to his family & friends. Thank you, Dr. Nation for being you...

Dr. Nation was a brilliant teacher. He opened the world of marketing science to me.

During my first years as a university professor, I emulated his techniques, to great success. His methods live on today.

I'll treasure his memory.

It's been 4 weeks and the loss of this wonderful Father still touches us all deeply but as each day passes, we all feel so fortunate that he had so many lives that he touched and that comforts us. We mourn but we heal. Thank you to all those who loved him as we did for posting here and sending so many wonderful cards and flowers.

My dearest sympathies to your beloved family during this time of grief and sorrow. The Bible gives us hope which is very assuring in Job 5:20, where it states: "He will certainly redeem you from death."

Dr. Nation was a wonderful man and a marvelous Professor. His classes (my first was 1970) and many interesting assignments formed a perfect example of the way a college course should be conducted. He made learning a joy.

He always gave you a sense that you could perform at the highest level. Dr. Nation's encouragement and impact on his students will be felt for generations.

May God Bless all the Nation family. I will always remember Warren with great affection. He was always willing to entertain friends and help them be comfortable. Always giving encouragement and advice if warranted.

I will never forget the times spent golfing with him at many different golf courses through-out the south. Always a good time and something I always looked forward to. I will always miss our re-unions in Blowing Rock, he and Carolyn always took us in and showed us a great time.

I know when I lost my father suddenly, I knew I had not only lost my father but my best friend. He knew me and I knew him. All the good certainly outweighed any shortcomings he may have had. John you were blessed with 88 yrs. of his presence. I wish when I was down for Christmas I could have had a chance to say goodbye, but the stomach virus nearly put me out. But I know when I get up there with him, we will have more time to golf, fish and tell stories on our lives.

My sorrow is that one of the people that affected my life has passed. To Carolyn, John and family, my love goes out to you all.
