William Williams Obituary
Tallahassee - William "Willie" James Williams (Nick) went to God's Kingdom on Saturday, August 22, 2020 in Tallahassee, Florida. He was born on October 8, 1945, in Tallahassee.
He attend the Public Schools of Leon County, the Original Lincoln High School, Class of 1964. He served in the United States Army and is a Viet Nam Veteran.
He was married to Melinda Williams to that union a son was born Mario Jarvis Williams.
Nick was a man of many talents and enjoyed life. He gave his life to Christ as a young man. He was a member of Greater Mt. Zion PBC. He enjoyed playing the drums and singing, and at one time had his own band. Nick held a variety of jobs. He completed truck driving school in Miami, drove trucks and city bus. He worked for the airport and FSU. He had a plumber's license and also had his own lawn service.
He leaves behind one son, Mario Jarvis Williams, Tallahassee, Fl.; sister, Emma L. Williams Thomas (Willie C.) Riverview, Fl.; grandchildren, Antwan Williams, Monticello, Fl., Cy'ianna and Ma'Reisha Williams, Tallahassee, Fl.; aunts, Mae Bell Whitfield, Panama City, Fl., Thelma Whitfield, Palatka, Fl., Priscilla B. Whitfield,, and Dorothy E. Moore, Tallahassee, Fl.; a special friend as a mother figure, Mrs. Catherine Henderson, and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends.
Preceding his death were his parents, William Clarence Williams and Emma Lou Whitfield Williams, and grandparents, Eva I. Whitfield Emmons and Willie Joe Emmons.
Graveside service will be 11 AM Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 11 AM to 6 PM at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.
