The finest young man , of his status , I have ever met. Spent a lot of time with Brian at Mustang Acres, in Brighton MI. where he would come between scheduled races to practice. I just heard this news from my son Ryan ,who would practice with Brian. I keep telling him it wasn't so. Brian was too young to leave this world.
To the Swink family , I send my deepest condolences for your loss. I will never forget this great young man.

Watching Brian do laps on his Peak Honda and Suzukis at Baja Acres was pure magic. Best memory, sitting with others to learn the rhythm of the new whoop section. He hit the first jump and cleared them . We looked at each other, shook our heads and left. What talent, and a very easy going, fun guy in the pits.

The great ones leave us early. Very talented racer. Great memories of Brian's racing in the late 80's and 90's and getting to know him. He was very welcoming to the fans, had time for the young ones who looked up to him. It was our pleasure to have Brian as a friend . I will never forget the day i came home from work and there was MX riggs around 20 lined up and down our street , the other residents were not to happy, Brian was there Jimmy Button, Mike Treadwell, Pat Barton, Keith Johnson, and so many MORE, I am sure Kyle could name everyone and they were all important to the Ocala MX Crew. Ocala was a hot spot for racers to stay with Reddick MXMC, Hardrock, Dade City Track, Gatorback and so many more places for them to practice and race at . It has been my pleasure as a scorer/sign up in AMA/MX/SX as well as the local Florida Racing for 33 years to have met so many great people. To Brian's family much love.. R.I.P Brian. Gone but not out of our thoughts.... Royanne Myers and Family

I was born and raised in Buchanan, MI the hometown of Red Bud Motocross. I have been a fan of MX since the early 90's and have had the pleasure of meeting Brian at Red Bud initially, in 1992. He was an amazing Champion, and a very nice guy. I met him while he was part of Team Suzuki and was fortunate enough to meet the entire team. He was one of a kind, and a lightning fast rider!! Sending love and prayers to his family.

Even tho I couldnt keep up with Brian and my bro it was something Ill never forget.. People outside of regular life dont realize how gnarly this dude was on a bike its truly rediculous. Godspeed you will truly be missed.Very sad so bummed.

Way too soon. A legend in Michigan. The greatest compliment I ever recieved was from one of his riding racing friends. That I had his style through the whoops. Brian sir. You will be missed. One of Michigan's greatest.

So sorry to hear about Brian. Watching him rise to heights that most of us crazy dirt bikers only dreamed of was very special. The sport has been a huge part of my life as it was Brian's. I also felt a special connection to him being from the same little town. I also loved it when he had the little clothing store on Silver Lake Rd in Fenton. I bought quite a few items there and always looked forward to shooting the breeze with him when I went in. Godspeed Brian, you will be missed by many.
