I remember the Hammerberg Family ... As a child, they lived next door to my Grandparents, Ida & Frank Klemz on Hamlin Avenue. My Mom was their youngest, Ada (Nowak).
It was a privilege to first know Grandma & Grampa H., their sons and families.
Joyce, remember the time we spent a weekend with Marilyn? 3 krazy teenagers. You were the best - must have inherited your sense of humor from your Dad.
God bless you all for being such a memorable family. Treasure those memories as I do.

I remember the many wonderful vacations we spent with the Florida Hammerbergs. Ches was a kind man and a caring friend who was always there for us. My thoughts and prayers are with Ruth and the family.

Aunt Ruth and family...I'm so sorry for your loss. I am blessed to have such great memories of time spent with you and Uncle Chester while we kids were growing up...'waitressing' at Steve's Rustic Lodge, fun and fishing at Balsam Lake, earning a dollar for getting our ribs counted without giggling, being the 'hero' who got to eat the 'majic pellet' in one of Uncle Chester's fantastic stories...and many, many more. Thank you Uncle Chester for making my life that much happier...I will sure miss you! Love, Kris

Dear Aunt Ruth, John, Joyce and the entire family,
I was greatly saddened to hear of Uncle Ches' passing. He was such a joyful part of all our lives. There are so many happy memories of stories and jokes and genuine caring that I know he will never leave our hearts and minds, I was lucky to have heard so many stories of Uncle Ches from both my father and Grandpa. Those stories always bring a smile. I will miss him. The world has lost a good and kind man.
