Daniel Ryan SOYKA

SOYKA, Daniel Ryan 35, of Dunedin, passed away peacefully in his sleep next to his devoted wife, Lisa and his dogs, Maggie and Mason by his side on Feb. 14, 2013. Also surviving Dan are his parents, John Soyka and Lynn Lemmon; stepparents, Barbara Soyka and David Lemmon; brother, Damon & his wife Jill; sister, Darrah & husband, Jebediah; godparents, Doug and Barbara Ramm; nephews, Felix and Charlie; and other family members and friends, all of whom mourn a beautiful life cut short. He was predeceased by his sister, Autumn Soyka in 2011, who welcomes him into Heaven with open arms. Dan was a graduate of Dunedin High School and the University of Florida, was a former president of the Young Republicans of Florida, and studied abroad at Cambridge. Dan was the regional property manager for Preiss Company and always an avid Gator fan. His strong will and positive determination throughout his life and his struggle with ALS made Dan the loving and passionate man he was. He will also be remembered for his dry and witty sense of humor and his "special" mischievous grin. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb. 17 from 5-9 pm at Curlew Hills Funeral Home, 1750 Curlew Rd., Palm Harbor. Funeral services will be held at the Church of the Ascension, 701 Orange Ave., Clearwater, Monday, Feb. 18 at 3 pm with burial to follow at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens.
