Derrick Andre ALLEN

ALLEN, Derrick Andre passed away July 22, 2013. Funeral services Saturday, Aug. 3 at 11 am at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 North Howard Avenue. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Derrick Andre Allen was truly a family man and a friend to many. He enjoyed helping people, coaching football, and volunteering for numerous events. Derrick Andre Allen was born in Tampa to Carol Allen and (late) Buford Allen; and was the grandson of (late) David and Mildred Stewart and Jesse and Clara Allen. He was an alumni of Florida Memorial College, Morehead State University and University of South Florida. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife for 13 years, Trushilda Allen; daughters, Derica Allen and Zaria Stewart; son, Andre Baker; mother, Carol Allen; siblings, Idalynne Smalls, Anichia Allen and Byron (Katie) Allen; grandparents, Mildred Stewart, Clara Allen and Jesse Allen; aunts, Brenda Allen Bass, Barbara Allen Brown and Bernita Dove; uncle, Eric Allen; mother-in-law, Evelyn Clark; sisters-in-law, India (Robert) Morris and Leigh Clark; devoted friend, Jason Smalls; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. The remains will repose after 5 pm Friday, Aug. 2 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
