Donald LAU Obituary

LAU, Donald Karl, 80, of Tampa, FL passed away on October 4, 2012 at his home, surr-ounded by his family after a long hard fought battle with cancer. Don was preceded in death by Billie Ruth Lau and Elizabeth "Betty" Lau - the two loves of his life. Don was a loving father and grandfather. He will be missed by his children, Dawn, Phil (JoAnn), Mary Jane (Scott), Kim and Paul; and grandchildren, Amanda, Andrew (Jaclyn), Ashton, Asli, Blair, Blake, Cameryn, Christopher, Cody, Kayla, Parker and Shelby. He was a generous man, a Philanthropist that gave his time to many charities and served on numerous charity foundation boards. He was an avid golfer and friend to many. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 9, 2012, from 7 - 9 pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, Carrollwood. A funeral Mass will be celebrated by Monsignor Laurence Higgins, at 10:30 am, Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice or a charity of your choice in Don's honor.
