Dorothy COMBS Obituary

COMBS, Dorothy B. "Dip" 95, Born March 12, 1927 in Bluefield, W. VA, died April 3, 2022 in Brandon, FL. Dip is remembered by her children and spouses. Kay and Rick Cornwell, Susan and Ron Lewis, Jay and Patricia Lawrence; grand children, Mindy and Scott Malone, Steven and Randi Hitchcock, Katy and James Young, Trudy and James Hutchinson; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is joining her husband, Morgan Combs; and former husband, Jack Lawrence in heaven. She had a long career teaching in Brandon area elementary schools from which she retired as an assistant principal at Brooker Elementary. Dip was an active member of New Hope United Methodist Church since 1961 and attended services at Limona Village Chapel UMC. She was active in various community events. She was an avid bridge player. Her memorial service will be May 7, 2022, 10 am at New Hope UMC in Brandon. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Dips memory.

I have found memories of the time that my sister, Rose Gordy, and I spent Dip and Liba. We didn't get to see her enough. We will love you and miss you always.
