Kevin CARBONELLI Obituary

CARBONELLI, Kevin B.

55, passed away Sept. 11, 2016 in Palm Harbor. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn; sons, Tyler and Alex Carbonelli and Sean Smith; daughters, Amber and Cara Smith; his parents, Karen and Larry Carbonelli of Gowen, MI; sister, Cathy (Doug) Shaw; nephews, Ralph (Ashley) Shaw and Robert Shaw of Clearwater; special aunt and uncle, Wendy and Dave Nelson of Tarpon Springs; and special cousins, Jeff and Debbie Nelson of Palm Harbor; and a long list of additional aunts, uncles, cousins, and very special friends.

Kevin was a multi-talented man, with lots of fun being tossed in with his friendly and unscripted personality. He was a craftsman. He built furniture, kitchens, and bars, whatever friends and family required. He built boats, and he was a barefoot water skier. He could play the drums, but his musical best was playing his grand piano. He could also write, with an easy sense of humor that brought him a Facebook following. But Kevin's highest achievements came with being a husband and father. He cared dearly for a family that included three sons and two daughters, and he enjoyed nurturing his children in their academic, athletic, and occupational pursuits. After his wife, Lynn, he had other favorites, Hot Dogs from the Corner Bar in Rockford, MI, visits to Half Mile Lake, The Michigan State Spartans (his Alma Mater), Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, Duke University, University of Central Florida, and occasionally, The Michigan Wolverines.

The family asks that Elisa's Greatest Wishes be considered for memorials. Services will be held at 12 pm, Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Lakeview Community Church, 475 East Lake Road North; Tarpon Springs 34688.
