Luis COTON Obituary

COTON, Luis D., 65, of Tampa, passed away June 16, 2012 at home surround-ed by his loving family. A native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mr. Coton was a graduate of Robinson High School, the University of South Florida, and the University of Florida, College of Law. He practiced law in Tampa for over 28 years, was the founder of the Central Florida AILA, and was of the Catholic faith. Preceded in death by his sister, Lydia Swaney; Mr. Coton is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Luz M. Coton; sons, Luis D. Coton, Jr., and Albert A. Coton; mother, Betty Coton; sister, Doris Lind; and other loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon, June 21, at 2 o'clock from the chapel of JGR Funeral Home, 6718 N. Armenia Ave., with the Rev. Father Thomas Stokes, Pastor, O.L.P.H. Catholic Church officiating. Entombment will follow in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in his memory to LifePath Hospice, Inc. The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon, June 21, from 12:30 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Please send online condolences to www.jgrfuneralhome.com

It has been way too long that I have touched basis with you
know that I think of you every time ...
I see Vegas on TV remembering the fun times we all had when we were all together I do miss you with all your humor and loving manner. I am all alone Here now since MaMa went to Join yall now the 3 of you are together again Tell PaPa ... MaMa and Lydia that I miss all of you Tremendously and when it is my time to take the trip I will be ready to be part of the Family once again ! Sending my Love to All ..

Uncle luis, cant believe youre gone..happy to know that you are no longer in pain. If theres one thing i could do or change is to have spent more time together. But thats what we cant change..will always remember you, what a good uncle you are and what a great friend/brother you were to my mom. Love you always! Tell everyone hello for us. Love you

What a gathering that must have been when you stepped into heaven!
Grandma, Grandpa, your dad Al, Lydia your sister, Uncle Bud, Uncle Lawrence, Uncle Arthur my dad, Aunt Carlita, Cousin Reid my brother and that is just the ones I know. You must be having a wonderful time, no more pain and gathering with loved ones gone before!!
