Patricia Arbutine Obituary
90, of Belleair Bluffs, Florida, passed away peacefully April 26, 2025. She was born Sept. 13, 1934. We said goodbye to our beloved friend and mother, Patricia Arbutine.
Patricia, or "Pat" as we all knew her, was the heart and soul of The Silver Queen. She founded the local business, The Silver Queen, in 1979, building it from the ground up after she and her husband Art opened Belleair Coins in 1973. What started with $300, a coin collection, and some Indian jewelry grew-through sheer passion and relentless hard work-into the beloved Silver Queen we know today.
In her own words: "The Silver Queen is my baby. She was my idea – built on the back of Belleair Coins. We worked very, very hard. I sat up at night at the table after working, taking care of the house, doing the wash, etc. and studied silverware – piece by piece. It was our whole life."
Pat's dedication shaped every corner of The Silver Queen. Her strength, determination, and vision not only laid the foundation for The Silver Queen but created something truly lasting.
Here's to Pat Arbutine-a woman of remarkable determination, grit, integrity, generosity, and wisdom. The one and only 'Silver Queen'.
The Silver Queen at 1350 West Bay Dr., Largo, will be hosting a celebration of life for all to pay their respects on Monday, May 19 from 11-4.
