Richard Granger Obituary

GRANGER, Richard S. "Dick" 58, of St. Petersburg, passed away suddenly Sept. 26, 2009. Born on Dec. 5, 1950, in Tallahassee, he is survived by his devoted wife of 21 years, Sherri; brothers, John Granger, (Shireen) and Ted Granger (Mary); 2 neices, 1 nephew and his friend and business partner, James Satory (Betsy). Dick graduated with honors from FSU and was CEO of allejewelry.com, a cutting edge internet jewelry company he and Sherri started in 1996. He was a Coastguard veteran and enjoyed boating on "Sea-N-Red", instructing karate, and making gourmet meals for his family and friends. Plans are to spread his ashes at sea around the Granger family retreat on Dog Island, as were his father's in 1993. A Celebration of Life memorial will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, from 2 to 5 pm at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club on Pass-a-Grille. Please email well wishes or questions to [email protected].

I had the distinct pleasure to work with Dick at Gayfers in the early 1980's. During that time, Dick and I became good friends and shared some great times together. Although we lost touch over the past several years, I carry with me many fond memories of those days. He was a great man and I know he'll be missed by his family and friends.

God Bless!
