A great person from a great generation. He will be missed. My father drove a Sherman Tank in WW II and he died 9/11/10. I wonder if they drove in the same 11th Armored Division and liberated the Mauthhausen concentration camp. Bob was a hero and a great business man. Its a shame that we lose our great hometown leaders like my father and Bob. I am sure he will be missed.

Thank you for including us (the local Harley community) in such a special celebration of Mr. Fletcher's life. It was an honor to ride in the procession in memory of a man who was clearly the definition of a Harley enthusiast. I couldn't believe how thoughtful you were to have drinks and food available for the riders at the service. It was hot and they were much appreciated. It is just another example of how Fletcher's is such a great dealership (and family).

I don't know where you were on the 9th of June 2012; where I was the skys opened and the clouds burst. There was lightening cracking and the thunder, the thunder sounded like the LORD was welcoming home a loved and treasured member of HIS own bike club. He is missed here, it is comforting to know he is so loved. Kitty and Bob

Dear Mrs. Fletcher and Family, Our condolences to all of you, I was first introduced to Bob in my early teens 40 years ago at the Largo Store. My Father Syd introduced me to him and I received a wonderful smile no one could ever forget. He was indeed an industry Icon in the Tampa Bay area that extended Nationally and beyond due to your generous sponsorship of professional racing individuals. You and Motorcycles made him a very happy
Man. We are very sorry for your loss.

Bob was a regular at our "Grey Eagles" Wednesday gatherings of aviators, engineers, mechanics, and aviation history enthusiasts at the 3 Coins Restaurant in Largo. His life story reads like fiction, and was captured well by author and friend Jack King. We shall miss your good companionship and anecdotes, Bob, and we wish you "Clear Skies and Tailwinds" on your final flight to the West! Condolences to Peggy and the Family. Respectfully,

Fletcher's Harley Davidson and Bob will always have a place in our family. Back in 1972 we bought our first bike there-a Harley Sprint. And my buddy Mark Anderson had also bought one. Now all these years later we are riding together again. Thanks for the start of great memories BOB. You will be missed, but not forgotten! Alan Shedler- Seminole, Florida

I just heard this sad news this evening, my condolences to the rest of the family. I know his extended family of friends and riders will all miss him. My first encounter with Bob was at his dealership in Largo when I was just a stupid 15 year old kid. He did take time out to talk to me about Harley's - then I didn't see him again for a long time. He always had the good stories and a wonderful spirit.

Lucille and Family, Our condolences to the entire Fletcher family. Bob lived his life to the fullest. Bob was one of few that everyone liked. It would take a couple of screens to decribe all the good times; i.e. Daytona, Houston, Saturdays at the shop, airplane rides, etc. that I had with Bob. When I first met Bob and Lucille he was working as a mechanic at Puckett's, basically living paycheck to paycheck. He and Lucille accomplished the " American Dream" together, and this could not have happened to two more deserving and nicer people. Sue remembers Bob at the races during Bike Week in Daytona...with his famous "stink bombs"!!!!!! Rest in peace Bob......
Respectfully, Ron and Sue Martin

My condolences to the Fletcher family. My fondest memory of Bob was riding up to the 95th with him and the chapter; the men on the back of a pick-up trying to toss us watermelons....., his needing to use the "litter box", his love of ice cream and me trying to get his rain boots on over his sneakers..what a chore that was! Oh, and him forgetting where he parked his bike in the huge parking lot in Milwaulkee and telling us "it's a black bike". Such a wonderful man with many great stories! He will be missed.

My sincere condolences to Lucille, Peggy, Sherry & Laura,
Bob was a large presence starting in '64 when I was 16. The patience he had! We worked together, rode together, flew together, and laughed a lot! His influence took me to (many, many) motorcycles, the military, airplanes and independence. Best Man at my wedding in '72, he truly was the Best Man. Thank you, Bob. You certainly made your mark.

Dear Peggy & Family, We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. Fletcher's HD has been a part of our family for more than 20 years. It is our "home" Harley dealer and being there listening to your father's many stories from time to time, was always interesting. He showed us, you can enjoy riding at any and all ages. He is now "up there" watching over all of us bikers!
