Ruth LAPHAM Obituary

LAPHAM, Ruth M. 100, of Charlotte, MI, died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Eaton County Medical Care Facility in Charlotte. Mrs. Lapham was born Aug. 24, 1912 in Ionia, MI, the daughter of Gertrude (Kennedy) Davis and Charles L. Davis. She resided many years in Grand Rapids, MI while married to first husband, Howard Hill. In 1952 she married Dale Lapham, moving to Ohio and later to Clearwater Beach, where she was the owner/ operator of a motel for 15 years. They moved to Dunnellon, in 1975. In 2002 she returned to Michigan and has resided at the Eaton County Medical Care Facility since 2004. She was predeceased by an infant son; husband, Dale and daughter, Helen in 1995; great-grand-daughter, Tiffany in 2004 and daughter, Joan in 2010. Survivors include: daughter, Irene (Bob) Jewett of Charlotte; son, Mark (Robin) Lapham of Safety Harbor; son-in-law, Ray Frankowski of Newaygo, MI; son-in-law, Dan (Lisa) Driessen of Aurora, IL; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation was held at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 6-8 pm. Graveside services and burial will be at Sylvan Abbey, Clearwater. Memorial contributions can be made to the Eaton County Medical Care Facility Activities Department. www.burkhead-greenfuneralhome.com

I can't make it to the local services because I work. I will miss seeing Ruthies smile every day. She (and yourself!) will be greatly missed at ECMCF
