Susie SCHWINDT Obituary

SCHWINDT, Susie Bellotte passed away peacefully July 31, 2024. She was born April 27, 1932 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Whitmire Bellotte, Sr. Susie grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, and graduated from Greenville Senior High School. She moved to Tampa, FL in 1954 and lived for over 50 years in her beloved and welcoming home in Seminole Heights. In the 1970s, Susie was the proud owner and operator of Bambi's Kindergarten & Day Nursery located just blocks from her home. She retired from Crown Zellerbach in 1997 and spent her many years of retirement traveling, spending time with family and tending to her rose garden. She was famous for her endearing stubbornness and will be lovingly remembered as fiercely independent and always there to lend a helping hand. Susie is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Schwindt; her son, Paul R. Bridwell Jr., and her first husband, Paul R. Bridwell, Sr. She is survived by her children: Linda Bridwell Bever, Steve (Melody) Bridwell, Joe (Melanie) Bridwell, Butch (Monica) Schwindt, and daughter-in-law, Lynn Bridwell. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed by her children, her seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Susie will be laid to rest at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
