Miranda S. Brown

Miranda S. Brown, 36, of Taunton, suddenly passed away in Connecticut on Friday, August 6, 2021. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of Lisa Helfand- Brown of Taunton and Kevin Brown of Matthews, NC. Miranda was a graduate of Taunton High School class of 2003 and earned a Bachelors degree in Science from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Miranda was working on her Masters degree in engineering from UMASS Dartmouth. Miranda was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim in Taunton. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Miranda spent numerous years as a loving and caring nanny too many Taunton families. She will be missed by all her "kids." Survivors are her beloved daughter: Tia Barbara Roderick of Taunton; a sister: Olivia Tavares and her husband Christopher of Taunton; two brothers: Andrew Brown of Randolph; Sam Brown of Taunton; maternal grand parents; Dr. Israel and Rosamond Helfand of Taunton; two uncles: Matthew Helfand and his wife Annmarie from Cranston, RI; William Helfand and his wife Harriet from Towson, MD; a niece: Elliana Tavares of Taunton and her companion: Thomas Pilling of Taunton. A Graveside Service for Miranda will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 12noon in Mount Nebo Cemetery Glebe Street, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Shiva will follow the service at the home of Dr. Israel and Rosamond Helfand 61 Davenport Terrace, Taunton from 1:30pm-3:30pm & 4:30pm-6:30pm.
