Hazel Frederick Obituary

Hazel E. Frederick, 96, died Aug. 6, 2008, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. She was born in Pughtown, W.Va., and came to the area 43 years ago, coming from Cleveland. She was active in Eastern Star of Cleveland. She was an alumnus of the Huron Road Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland. She was a charter member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church of Berea, Ohio, and a member of Community Church of Vero Beach. Survivors include her daughter, Betty DeTrude of Vero Beach; step-daughter, Vivian Piantanida of Orange City; brother, Lenard Pittenger of Chester, W.Va.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Clyde De Trude; brothers, John Pittenger, Charles Pittenger, Harry Pittenger and Earl Pittenger; and sister, Jane Myers. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. SERVICES: Services will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 9 at Ryanwood Fellowship in Vero Beach. with the Rev. Randy Bryant officiating. Arrangements are by All County Funeral Home and Crematory Treasure Coast Chapel.
