My parents just called me to tell me about the passing of Dr. DiStasio. I was lucky enough to have Dr. Joe and Dr. Gene back in Revere when I needed braces. They were both the kindness and nicest Dr.'s you could ever ask for. I feel very lucky that I was a patient of both of them. My sincere condolences to his family

Being from Maine, my visits with the extended DiStasio family was very sporatic, but my memories of Dr. Joe are ones of a very kind, loving man, who was always supportive and interested in what I was doing at home. As my grandfather's brother, I grew to know him through pictures and stories told by the family. It was wonderful to have him present with his wife Lillian at my 2001 college graduation party in Mass. Dr. Gene and Dr. Joe were always loving Uncles to me, and I hope that all three brother's now can get together in heaven, play some music, and have a grand old time .
