Michael Russak Obituary
Michael Russak passed away August 6, 2021 at his home in Vero Beach, FL under the care of VNA Hospice.
Mike was born March 24, 1923 in Hastings on Hudson, NY where he was raised with two brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Russak served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and the US Navy during the Korean War. He retired from AMAX Coal in Indianapolis, where he and two partners later opened Paramount Music Palace.
Following retirement, Mike and his beloved wife, Bea, moved to Vero Beach Moorings and later to Oak Harbor. After Bea's passing in 2009, his son Kevin was his primary caregiver. The medical personnel in Vero are awesome and always treated him with respect.
Mike is survived by two children, Chris and Kevin; five grandchildren, Michael, Dane, Kevin, Meagan, and Kalli and one great-grandchild, Nora. He was predeceased by his wife; children, Dennis and Kathy; two brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at Christ Church, 667 20th Street, Vero Beach, FL, on August 14, 2021, at 11am followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to VNA and Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
