Vero Beach, FL

Robert C. Southard of Vero Beach, Florida died May 1st at Indian River Medical Center at the age of 93. He was born June 21, 1922 in New Egypt, N.J. and moved to Vero Beach in 1976. Bob served in the Pacific in the U.S. Marine Corps in WW-II where he fought in the battles of Guadalcanal and Peleliu. He was a retired Chevrolet Auto Dealer.

Husband of 54 years to the late Bette Southard. He is survived by his son Michael of Chicago, IL and daughter Debra Boyd of Mission Viejo, CA and four grandchildren. He has 2 great grandchildren and a 3rd due very soon.

His remains will be interned next to his wife at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce, FL.
