Santia Feketa Obituary

Santia Myriah Feketa

Fort Pierce, FL

Santia Myriah Feketa, 18, died February 6, 2018 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Santia was born in Port St. Lucie, Florida and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Santia was heavily involved in many volunteer activities within the community focusing on special needs children including: Special Olympics with Destiny Bound Stables, school volunteer at Fairlawn and was a Peer Pal in Martin County.

Santia was a smart, beautiful, and amazing young woman with the highest morale character. Above all she truly always spoke in a manner of family first which was not just love but in respect to all of her family. Santia loved and cared about every person she met always looking for the goodness in them. Her short life was lived with a passion for helping children and a love of all animals. Her dream was to become a teacher of children. She was taken from this world long before anyone could have imagined leaving behind many broken hearts.

Words cannot express the pain and sorrow that fills a soul of those left behind by their loss. Perhaps consolation in knowing that this child is flying high in the Arms of the Father in Heaven. I pray peace by Christ's Spirit touch each person in the inner soul to know the love the Father has for his earthly children and be comforted.

Santia, you were one of the best students I ever had. From the very first day you were in my classroom, you were a bright, warm light. Not only did I enjoy your insight, your humor, and your friendliness while you were my student, but I enjoyed keeping in touch with you and seeing you grow after you'd moved on. It's very easy for students and teachers to lose touch over the years, but I'm grateful I ran into you just last week and got a chance to talk to you and hear what you were up to these days. Though the world is now a little dimmer without you in it, you will always be remembered fondly. My deepest condolences to your family and friends.

There are no words to say to express our deep, deep sadness over the loss of these two beautiful girls. We were truly blessed to be able to meet Santia, sister Sierra, brother Zachary and their dad Stewart for the first time when our niece Marcie invited us to meet up for breakfast outside of Albany, NY when they came north for a family reunion last Summer. We will cherish the moments we had together with this wonderful and loving family even for that short time. God Bless them!

So tragic a loss-my heart goes out to your family "Santita Tortilla" as a certain someone used to jokingly call you when you came around-may you forever rest in the arms of angels until we all meet again..

I never got to know you my dear because I got married and moved to California about 55 years ago. I knew your grandfather Richey when he was a young boy on my oldest brother Mikes farm. You are a beautiful young lady and I cried my eyes out when I heard you are an angel now. Rest in piece now with your grandfather, You can look down on your family now and tell them to go on with their life and you will watching over them' I love you my great niece. Mary Feketa Dvorak
