Dear all
My father Calvin Cox (who passed in '06) was a good friend of Susan's, and his family knew Chick and Cookie too, from having grown up and lived for years in "Vero" way back!
Susan was just so lovely, what a shining personality. I remember her beauty of course and real joy for life. I just found out that she passed away, and was so sorry to hear it.
I'm very sorry for your loss, and wanted to add a remembrance here.

Todd, Deana, Ray and Beth,
I was so saddened to learn that Susan had died. I was in Vero the first of March and went into Sassys to visit, but she nor Deana was there. I asked how Susan was doing and was told fine.
I have such wonderful memories of when I was at Johns Island with my parents , Margaret and Alton Hanes and all the fun times with Cookie , Chick and you all. Susan and I hit it off from the moment we met. She was that kind of person........so bubbly and fun, fun.
Please know how much I grieve with you over your loss. Ovarian cancer is a hideous disease. I lost my mother to it in 95. I hope and pray they find a cure.
I hope to see you sometime when we are visiting friends in Vero. With best love to you all. Georgene Voltz

I am deeply saddened by the loss of my friend and neighbor, Susan. What fun she was! I will miss seeing her, hearing about her New York trips, sharing lunches at the beach club and her sage contributions to the tennis townhouse condominium. It is hard to accept that she was not immortal after all, but I know her gentle and beautiful soul will live on forever with her family and friends.
