Barbara Egan Obituary
Annapolis, MD - Barbara M. Egan, 87, longtime resident of Sherwood Forest and previously of Bethesda, MD passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017. Barbara was born on November 2, 1930, to the late James and Loretta McSherry in Worcester, MA. She grew up Spencer, MA and graduated from Mt. Saint Vincent University in NY. Barbara became a realtor and broker opening her own company, Grosvenor Realty in Bethesda. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Annapolis who loved playing bridge, gardening, activities at the local senior center, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is predeceased by her husband, Robert M. Egan in 1992 and her three siblings. She is survived by her two children, Michael (Anne) Egan of Arnold and Kelly (Mark) Donoway of Sherwood Forest; six grandchildren, Cole and Quinn Donoway, Shelby Francioli, Caitlin and Courtney Egan and Kelly Jones; three great-grandchildren, Jayden, Charley, and Barrett. Friends are invited to celebrate Barbara's life on Sunday, November 26 from 2 to 4 PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, November 27 at 10:30 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Rd., Annapolis. Interment will take place at a later date at Holy Rosary - St. Mary's Cemetery, Spencer, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sherwood Forest Endowment Fund, 134 Sherwood Forest Road, Sherwood Forest, MD 21405.

I was so sorry to hear your lovely mother passed away. I have so many fond , vivid memories of her from back when we were all young children. To me your mother was so kind and oh so glamorous!

Our sincere and deepest condolences to the Egan family on the loss of your loved one.
