Brian Pedone Obituary
Worcester - Brian T. Pedone, 28, of Worcester, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014, at UMass Hospital, with his loving family at his side, following an accident earlier that day.
He is survived by his parents, Leo F. and Kathy A. (Gill) Pedone of Worcester; his maternal grandmother, Carmella (Piccinino) Gill of Worcester; aunts and uncles, Thomas and Debbie Gill of Worcester, Ron and RoseMary Gill of Cranston, RI, Timothy Gill of Worcester, John and Dolores Pedone of Rutland, VT, and Dr. Michael and Elizabeth Terlizzi of Andover; his cousins, Jonathan Gill, Mara Zeigler, Michael Scott Terlizzi, Kerry Ann Guarino, John "Jay" Pedone, Matthew Pedone, and Jacob Rinaldi; he also leaves several great aunts and great uncles. He was predeceased by his cousin Ronald Gill, Jr. USCG.
Brian was born in Worcester and has lived here all his life. He graduated from Saint Peter-Marian High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Worcester State University. He was currently working for the Department of Youth Service in Westborough at the J.R. Kennedy Center. He was a member of Saint Christopher Church. He played in the Worcester Youth Soccer Program as a young man and continued to be a part of the organization as he got older by working with upcoming players as a coach. He also played Lacrosse while in high school and was currently an avid golfer.
Brian will be remembered as a wonderful son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He loved his family and made it a point to hug his parents often. He was a kind and generous person with a smile that was contagious and larger than life.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, July 30, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 31, at 11 a.m. in Saint Christopher Church, 950 West Boylston Street, Worcester (kindly go directly to church). Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.

Brian was like no one I had ever met! Funny, out going, sweet, crazy, kind, I could go on forever! I was so touched by how strong and caring his parents were to embrace every single person at that wake. You consoled me after saying my goodbyes. I just wanted you to know that now I understand how Brian became the man he was! I was in awe of the strenght that came from the two of you. I think every person at St. Christophers that day was taught something from Brians parents. Thank you for that. Rest in peace Brian.

I knew 'Pedone' quite well quite a few years back.. Chillin out with a bunch of buddys on west Boylston st... I am having such a hard time comprehending this tragedy. Brian was dear to my heart. He brought smiles and laughter to everyone he came in contact with. You and Leo did an amazing job teaching Brian one of the most important values in life called LOVE. He was definitely carrying out God's message.... to touch the hearts of as many people as he could. His million dollar smile had an instant effect on whoever he came in contact with. He shared his love to everyone, no matter if he met you for 5 minutes or knew you for a long time. His smile made you feel right at home.
My heart aches for you both. You were such a tight family, the kind of family that people dream of having. I don't understand why this was Brian's time. I hope for clarity someday. I do know that he lived life right... he knew how to get the most out of every day... and shared his heart with everyone.
