Dale N. Schleicher Sr.

Schleicher, Sr., Dale N.Dale N. Schleicher Sr., 80, of 517 West Lizard Creek Road, Lehighton passed into eternal rest on Saturday, June 14th at his residence with his loving wife and family at his side. He was the husband of Clara E. "Patty" Doll Schleicher. They were married for 61 years this past Feb. 21st. Born in East Penn Township, Pa. he was a son of the late William G. "Willy" and Myrtle B.M. Haupt Schleicher. He served our country with the US Army during the Korean War. A very hard working individual, he was dedicated to the family business as the owner/operator of East Penn Trucking & Schleichers Incorporated. He was a member of Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield, Pa. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, & great-grandchildren, and in his spare time enjoyed camping, boating, & a good round of Golf. Survivors: Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters, Dianne M. Gerber of Lehighton, Donna K. wife of Dale Heptner of Ormond Beach, Florida, 3 sons, Dale N Schleicher II , Duane A. Schleicher & his wife Lavona, Dan W. Schleicher & his wife Trell, 1 sister, Kay Ann wife of Gordon Scherer Jr. of Lehighton, 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Lee Schleicher. Services: Funeral Services will be held on Wed. June 18th at 5 p.m. at Dinkey Memorial Lutheran Church, 1742 Dinkey Rd., Ashfield, Pa. with the Reverend Michael J. Bodnyk officiating, Call to 3 to 5 p.m. at the church. Interment will full military honors under the direction of the Lehighton Area UVO in the parish cemetery.
