Edward Basiner Obituary
WEST BOYLSTON - Edward J. Basiner, 79, died Monday, June 11 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his wife of 33 years, Barbara L. (Phelps) Basiner; three daughters, Holly Ann (Basiner) Hunt of Shrewsbury, Sharon E. Brackett and her husband William of Boylston and Lynn M. Glick and her husband Michael of No. Grafton; three grandchildren, Christina, Alicia and Jonathan, and a sister, Dorothy Johnson of Pomona, CA.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Edward and Mary (Bruneau) Basiner, graduated from Commerce High School and was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Basiner worked at Reed Rolled Thread and Die Company for 31 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the West Boylston American Legion Post 204 and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods.
The funeral will be held on Friday, June 15 at 11:00 AM at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston. A visiting hour will also be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Massachusetts Veteran's Shelter, 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.

Ed was one of the best people I have ever had the opportunity to know and work with. His passing will leave a void I'm sure in the hearts of all the people who have crossed his path. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
