Eva P. Moring, 84

Mashpee - Eva P. Moring, 84, of Mashpee, formerly of Shrewsbury, MA and her native Hungary, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Royal Nursing Center in Buzzards Bay on November 8, 2018 after a long and brave battle with Alzheimer's. She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew J. Moring and the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth Bekefi of Hungary.

Eva and Andrew immigrated to the United States in 1956 to Worcester, Massachusetts after the Hungarian revolution against the Soviet Union's invasion after World War II. Eva attended college and was trained as a teacher in Hungary. She worked as a Histologist at the Worcester Foundation and UMASS Medical School for many years until her retirement. She was a talented and passionate artist and especially loved to paint in watercolor and oil. She had many of her paintings commissioned. After retirement, she volunteered at the Cahoon Museum of American Art in Cotuit, MA. Eva and her family enjoyed spending time at the beach on Cape Cod and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. They enjoyed many family gatherings at their Cape Cod home where Eva loved to share her Hungarian cooking. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Eva is survived by two sons, Andrew F. Moring and wife, Carolyn of Shrewsbury, Adam A. Moring and wife, Lori of Sandwich, MA, her sister Elizabeth Joachim of Hingham, MA, five grandchildren, Kathryn, Andrew, Matthew, Anthony, Allyson, her great grandchild, John Andrew Patten and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held on December 15, 2018 at 11:00am at Christ the King Parish, 3 Job's Fishing Rd., Mashpee, MA. A reception for family and friends will immediately follow at the Parish Hall.
