Frank Nenna Obituary

Frank A. Nenna, 87, of 117 Quaker Highway, died Tues, April 7 after a long illness.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Orr) Cusson; a daughter, Marsha Ducharme and her husband Roger of Johnston, RI; 2 stepchildren: Robyn and her husband Christopher Davis of Marblehead and Christopher and his wife Vickie Cusson of Norfolk, VA; 5 grandchildren whom he idolized; brother-in-law, John and his wife Muriel Orr of Uxbridge; a sister-in-law, Mary Nenna of Bristol RI; and several nephews and nieces. He was brother of the late Mary Frederico, William Nenna and Fred Nenna. Born in Beverly on Jan. 30, 1922, he was the son of Joseph and Katherine (Mansi) Nenna and lived in Uxbridge since 1973.

Mr. Nenna was a sales rep at Drolet Lumber Co. in S. Attleboro for 30 years. He also owned Nenna's Paint and Hardware in Pawtucket a short time. He was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran, serving with the 164 Anti-Aircraft Artillery Division in Guadalcanal, the Solomon Islands and the Philippines. He was a member of American Legion Post 0033 and VFW Post 1385 where he often cooked for their functions. He was also a member and past president of the Uxbridge Italian Club. In June of 2007, Frank was honored as the Grand Marshall in the Uxbridge Memorial Day parade. His family extends a sincere thank you to Beaumont Nursing Home and their Hospice Program for care, support, and friendship shown.

His funeral will be held Sat, April 11 at 4 pm in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. Burial at the RI Veteran's Memorial Cemetery will be at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sat, April 11 from 2 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Uxbridge Ambulance Fund, 24 S.Main St or the Uxbridge Police Dept, 275 Douglas St both Uxbridge, MA 01569.
