Gerald E. "Gerry" Lambert Sr., 73

UXBRIDGE - Gerald E. "Gerry" Lambert Sr., 73, of Douglas St. died Fri. March 16, 2018 at Tufts Medical Center after a long illness.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Barbara A. (Barron) Lambert; his 3 children Donna M. Lambert of Uxbridge, Gerald E. "Gerry" Lambert Jr. of Uxbridge, and Scott A. Lambert and his wife Cyndi of Millville; 8 grandchildren Deanna, Keith, AnnaRose, Lily, Violet, Katherine, Natalie, and Gracyn; 2 great-grandchildren Marquis and Scarlett; his 4 siblings Claudette Fagan of Blaine, Washington, Lucille Cornell of Mendon, Armand Lambert of Upton, and Muriel Kogut of Pascoag, RI; and many nephews and nieces. Born in Woonsockett, RI on Sept. 17, 1944, he was the son of the late Andrew and Eva (Courtemanche) Lambert and lived in Uxbridge 45 years.

Mr. Lambert worked as a truck driver for Garelick Farms in Franklin 18 years. Previously he was employed 27 years for Bernat Yarns in Uxbridge and before that Pressed Wheel in Grafton. He retired in 2008. Educated in the Mendon public school system, he split and sold wood and raised and sold rabbits as a hobby many years. He loved tinkering and fixing things. He enjoyed boats, deep sea and fresh water fishing, camping, the ocean, good food, and vegetable gardening. He will be remembered fondly and missed deeply by his family.

His funeral service will be held Sat. March 24, at 12:30 pm in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. Burial will follow in St. Mary's cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sat.
